on the card from Paris
	the woman
	the guitar
	the voice
she sang beyond the genius of the sea
          the poet wrote
you will love her, everyone does
          I heard. 
we have many friends...
          you said
you sang to my deaf ear and I heard the song
	sweet and pure
as the multitude heard it when you sang to them
you, the child of eleven, even then singing beyond
	the genius of the sea
and still, the woman everyone loves
	you cannot stop singing 
and I, when no longer in this dimension,
        will still carry your voice 	
	and the voice of multitudes 
    because I have become part of
	         everyone
