Greetings Poets and Poetry Enthusiasts.

It's been said that poets make the best witnesses, and there has been much to witness in current events happening in Minneapolis, here in Sonoma County, and elsewhere.

If you feel moved to join a group of like minded poets for a workshop on documenting current events through poetry, the upcoming event I'm leading in partnership with the Sebastopol Branch of the Sonoma County Library may be for you.

Saturday March 21 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM.

Documenting Current Events Through Poetry: A Workshop
Learn about writing impactful documentary poems. Examples will be shared that combine personal observations and information collected from news outlets and other sources. Examples will be provided and strategies shared for writing impactful documentary poems. This workshop will be led by Sonoma County Poet Laureate Dave Seter and Sonoma County Librarian Terra Emerson.

The event is free to all, no matter one's level of experience in writing poetry. Advance registration is not required. Please join us!
