Not old cows yet!

My friends and I are older now, 
slowly losing the grace of younger days
We persist in Jazzercise and yoga classes, 
hoping to retain our youthful strength and grace.

Yet, not all hopes are rewarded;
Graceful moves elude us.
Floor exercises leave awkward shapes,
struggling to return to standing.

Once on the floor, we stretch and strengthen,
having learned that we can lift ourselves.
Little by little, we move each wrinkled part
to support ourselves again to standing.

No one can call us  "old cows” yet!
