I urge caution in citing the Chinese problem with pollinators and hand 
pollination.  This story has become much exaggerated, I am afraid.  Indeed, 
there are some places in China where apples are hand pollinated, but please 
remember that China has a thriving beekeeping/honey production industry. 
Indeed, in some places the native species of Apis also seem to be thriving.
