1.  House Natural Resources Wildlife Subcommittee Oversight Hearing on
Pollinators-Wildlife-Public Lands connections.  Star witness list, CoE
statement, media release at http://pollinator.org/farm_bill.htm. 
* Can listen live via webcast, instructions at committee web site.
* Focus on public lands, 600+ million acres potential pollinator habitat.
* All-star lineup includes Berenbaum, Lovejoy [Heinz foundation], Weaver
[Pres, Natl Beekeepers Fed], USFWS [Parker] & USDA, ARS [Parker].  Also 2
MC-s testifying-Blumenauer, Hastings!  Witness list posted. 

2.  Boxer pollinator research legislation introduced today!  CoE letter of
support, media release, group statement of support will be posted at
http://pollinator.org/farm_bill.htm today.  Thanks for everyone's support!

3. Excellent Dear Colleague letters sent out by Sens Chambliss/Baucus & Rep
Hastings last week to all congressional offices, promoting National
Pollinator Week events.

4. CoE sent letter to Rep Hastings supporting his bill [making case for incl
habitat, natives].  Letter available at http://pollinator.org/farm_bill.htm.

5.  Monday's National C-FAR hill seminar featuring Berenbaum, Adams an
outstanding success.  Over 70 in attendance.

Risking looking ahead, prognosis for pollinating farm bill with research,
habitat provisions good.
