The USDA, Agricultural Research Service has an extensive image gallery with high quality images that are copyright free. See http://www.ars.usda.gov/is/graphics/photos/.  A search of their image database produced many results for "bees" including sweat bees, Africanized honey bees, honey bees, honey bees infested with mites, and so forth.
