Pollination Biology Field Course
Missouri Botanical Garden
Are you interested in pollination biology? NSERC-CANPOLIN is pleased to
offer a 12-day intensive pollination biology field course at the historic
and internationally-renowned Missouri Botanical Garden (MBOT). The course
will include daily lectures and discussions, field excursions, lab
activities and demonstrations, and completion of an individual research project.
Dates: April 19 - 30, 2010
Cost: CDN $680* (includes shared accommodation with cooking facilities,
field trips, and use of equipment). Participants will be responsible for
transportation to and from the course, food, and other incidentals. (* CDN
$250 for local participants not requiring accommodation)
Instructors: Peter Kevan (U of Guelph), Peter Bernhardt (MBOT) + guest
lecturers
Who is eligible: This course is available to grad students, post docs,
faculty and anyone else interested in pollination biology. A pollination
background is not required. Priority will be given to CANPOLIN students and
other biologists for whom the course will have significant impact on their
research and/or teaching
