[Pollinator] NY Times Inclusion of Bees in Food Impacts Due to Climate Change

We have been in touch with the NY Times about the bee photo mix-up
highlighted on the LISTSERV by Peter Bernhardt and others, and the Times
will be running a correction in the following print edition. The online
version of the piece did have the correct image of a bumble bee on a
composite flower. 

 

We also mentioned how helpful it was to see pollinators getting specific
attention in a high-level piece on climate change. The story, about threats
and losses in food systems as a result of climate change, highlighted some
of the issues faced by pollinators as a result of extreme climate.  In our
view, this is not only appropriate, it provides increased awareness which we
hope that will drive positive actions.
