Over the past four years there have been a few inquiries regarding our
studies on the pollination ecology of two color morphs of the birds foot
violet (Viola pedata) at our two Missouri sites. We made the final
transition from poster to manuscript several months ago and the paper came
out in the "Journal of Pollination Ecology" within the last few days . The
published version is attached. If you hear any background noise it's only
Spencer Barrett mumbling, "Leave me alone, I'm a busy man," or Sam Droege
asking, "What's a violet?"

This one is for Dr. Frankel...

"I once wore nothing but violets all through one season, as a form of
artistic mourning for a romance that would not die. Ultimately, however,
it did die. I forget what killed it."

Oscar Wilde, "The Picture of Dorian Gray"
