How Science is Saving the Bees & the Butterflies

 

Hello, on Monday 6/18 NCFAR will be hosting a seminar. Please register using the link above.

Speakers Val Dolcini (President, Pollinator Partnership), Dr. Sally Rockey (Executive Director, Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research), and Dr. Lauren Ponisio (Assistant Professor, UC-Riverside) will be discussing the Pollinator Health Fund, a partnership with major stakeholders that has awarded $7 Million to 16 research teams advancing science and technology to improve pollinator health. One of the projects funded is at the UC-Riverside Department of Entomology, where a team is examining how management practices in almond orchards affect the interacting risks of inadequate bee nutrition, pesticide exposure, and parasites and developing management recommendations.
