Dear Sacred Succulents supporter,
We have_ temporarily_ resumed shipping retail orders after our winter
hiatus. For all of you who placed orders during these past months—we
greatly appreciate your patience, it will soon ship in the order it
was received. 
The Specimen Plant listing has been updated for April, see our
homepage: http://www.sacredsucculents.comShipping the current large
number of such backorders will take us a couple weeks. Please note
that new orders placed now should ship within 2-3 weeks.
The last few years have been over full with unprecedented calamities &
problems (capricious weather, fires, drought, pandemic, etc.) We made
progress with nursery renovations this winter, but not enough. While
we are delighted in the growing interest in our work, the exceptional
number of orders continue to overwhelm what we can realistically
handle while still tending other nursery necessities.This means that
_we will only be shipping retail orders intermittently this year_ as
we continue to take time out to complete essential renovations,
reconfigure aspects of our operation (to protect the long term
viability of Sacred Succulents in light of our erratically changing
climate), and ultimately return to the level of customer service that
we have historically offered. So here is the new shipping schedule*
for the year:
2022 Shipping Schedule for Retail Catalog Orders (see the top of our
homepage for catalog PDFs: http://www.sacredsucculents.com )
Spring: All retail orders _postmarked_ by April 13 (International
Plant Appreciation Day) will ship this spring in the order they are
received.Summer: Retail orders postmarked between April 14 and July 6
(the Dalai Lama’s Bday) will_ begin_ shipping in the order received
on June 21 (Summer Solstice).Autumn: Retail orders postmarked between
July 7 and October 10 (Indigenous People’s Day) will _begin_
shipping in the order received on September 22 (Autumn Equinox).Winter
retail shipping to be announced for orders postmarked _after_ October
10.
*The exception to this limited shipping schedule for the year is:
_wholesale orders, books, Specimen List Plants_ (see our homepage) and
_Auction Plants_—these orders we will continue to ship throughout
the year as they are received.
We encourage that _all orders be emailed as inquiries before payment
is sent_— (sacredsucculents at hushmail.com or benkamm at monitor.net )
--I can then confirm stock and give the estimated ship time for your
order.
Picking up an order from our physical location in Occidental can be
arranged, but we have not yet resumed _any _nursery visits or tours,
perhaps later this summer.
We have a significant number of new offerings in the works, including
dozens of unique new _Trichocereus_ hybrids, that we will post as soon
as we have the time to write up new listings, hopefully by this
summer.
