Hi! The Dept. of the Interior Indian Craft Shop will be featuring
Pollinators in American Indian Art from June 20-26 in celebration of
National Pollinator Week. Pollinators and pollinated plants featured or
used in art will be displayed, along with information cards about
pollinators and the plants they pollinate (developed by NAPPC partners).
Their site provides links to pollinator.org, as well as the US Fish &
Wildlife Service & US Geological Survey pollinator websites. For more
information, go to: http://www.indiancraftshop.com/

Susan Pourian, the Director of the Indian Craft Shop, did an interview
about the exhibit on Native America Calling, a program discussing Native
American issues. She explained the importance of pollinators, mentioned
Pollinator Week, NAPPC & the pollinator.org website. The show is heard on
52 radio stations across the county. You can listen to the piece on their
website at: http://www.nativeamericacalling.com/
Go to the program for Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Susan is featured from about
18 min 52 sec to 23 min 51 sec. (You can drag the bar to that time if you
don't want to listen to the entire program.)

We really appreciate the Craft Shop finding a creative way to spread the
word about pollinator conservation to new audiences, and working with us to
incorporate education information about pollinators into their exhibit.
