Hi Sabrina,

500 acres! Wow! That’s quite a challenge and a major opportunity! The Pollinator Partnership has a wonderful pollinator curriculum that includes lots of information about bees. We have original curriculum/activities about pollinators for New England including the Pollinator in a Pickle! Jeopardy! game, Pollinator in a Pickle! rap song, and more. Check out our website www.meadowmaking.org for information about our environmental education programs including Meadow Camps and Youth Environmental Entrepreneurship Program.

A local landscape designer would certainly know what plants are available, but please be sure to plant only appropriate local native plants to promote biodiversity. Don’t plant invasives or ornamental plants, which although popular, may not provide wildlife habitat and could detract from local biodiversity.

See below for a google search on Malibu, CA- plants.

Sincerely, Barbara

Subject: [Pollinator] Pollinator Habitat Resources: Malibu
Greetings,

I've been invited to a 500-acre property in Malibu to help them develop habitat and programming around bees for kids and families. Does anyone have any planting guides for that area? Any resources? Any contacts?

Thank you,

Sabrina
