The Endangered Species Conservation Site (http://www.esconservsite.org) was recently developed as an educational resource for anyone interested in learning about threatened and endangered species and how to protect them. The new website is especially beneficial for teachers, students, youth group leaders and others seeking information about endangered plant and animal conservation. In addition to endangered species-related facts and news updates, special features include a For Teachers page that provides class/instruction ideas and sample lesson plans for teaching about endangered species, a Young People Page, a Resources section with a variety of materials and other information, and a translate button that provides translations in numerous languages. The Endangered Species Conservation website site was developed by David Robinson, founder and former director of the annual Endangered Species Day, with support from an Advisory Board of scientists, environmental group leaders, teachers, community organizers, photographers, artists, and authors.
