Dear Subscribing California Voters,
	I’m sure you all know how important this year’s elections will be — up and down the ballot!  I’m here to encourage you to vote and remind you about Darien's Ballot Guide to the CA Propositions.
	We have ten important propositions on our ballot this year, and I’ll be sending you my usual concise info on them, including who is for or against them and (of course) my recommendations.  I do urge you to make up your own mind while considering what I offer you.  My research and perspectives are not perfect!

Voter Reg. and Voting
	In any case, already you should have received your fat Official Voter Guide for the California General Election.  If you have not received that, please check your voter registration status right away!  There’s ample time to update your registration in case you’ve changed —
		- your name OR 
		- your address OR
		- if something untoward has happened to your registration!
	In California, I believe we’ll all be voting by mail.  Your sample ballot will arrive within about a week, perhaps with your actual ballot. 
	You have until election day — Tuesday, Nov. 5 — to turn in your ballot, at official ballot drop boxes or by mail.  There are also early voting locations, and you’ll get more details on that and local drop boxes by looking at official sites online, rather than thinking that what you get in the mail is the complete info.  (Need I emphasize that you should be sure the site you go to is the official one — and not some “phishing” fake?)   If mailing your ballot, do so at lest a week early, to be sure your ballot is receive in time (no postage needed!).  I expect to have Darien’s Guide to you by Oct. 8.
