That said, I don't know if there might be some magic trick to get an Alpha to do area routing anyway, even though it's not supported... It "just works" - CHARON is an AXP, and it does DECnet area routing just fine. Ignore the documentation that says you can't do it, set your executor type to 'AREA' and that's all you need. Bob
