Sorry Mark in my previous post I made an error in the private server filename which made the example rather pointless. It should have been this: $ dir sys$startup:DECW$PRIVATE_SERVER_SETUP.COM Directory SYS$SYSROOT:[SYSMGR] DECW$PRIVATE_SERVER_SETUP.COM;11 Total of 1 file. The contents were alright.
