Ah, thank you so much.
I've read problems with SET HOST towards MIM in this thread which I didn't
notice.
What did not work was PHONE though. What I typed in on a local ALpha did
show up on MIM but I couldn't type into MIM's PHONE panel.
Hitting % didn't get me to the % prompt to exit PHONE on MIM.
The only way to log off was to disconnect by hitting ^Y twice at this end...
