Aaaaaaargh, I just mapped SYS$ERROR to net, and there was a bug in my python code that wouldn't let it run.

Right, this just got way too insanely complex for a simple wrapper
around a Python script. 

I'm doing it on Linux. 

You've got a DCL on Linux.   I've never see one.   What's it called?
