THat should make no difference.   If it's a SCSI drive that can be read and
written by both systems, it should work with one caveat -- the VMS version
on the disk much be able to support the vintage of the VAX upon which the
boot is performed.   Check this chart for minimum VMS suport for particular
VMS supported systems.
