You're welcome. I'm happy when I hear that people find this stuff is
useful/fun.

> Also, thanks for the advice on converting the .TPC tape to .TAP. I don't have physical tape on the 11/83 but use VCP on a SCSI2SD RA92 for virtual tape and use your ftp to move the .DSK and .TAP files. What I missed on VCP was that there is a COPY command, until I started taking a closer look at the release notes. Thank you for the pointer!!

You slightly confuse me when you talk about .TPC and .TAP files, as I
normally associate those names with the format of tapes used by SimH,
E11 and other emulators.
But if you are talking about them as the format of files inside RSX,
then I'm ok.

TPC is an (old) tools from DECUS, which you can use. However, that just
creates files that can be transported, and used to recreate the tape again.

TAP, in the meaning of virtual tapes inside RSX, as used by VCP, means
you do not have to deal with TPC at all. VCP also create files which can
be transported. FTP can transfer those files correctly to a remote
machine, so no need for any converters. And VCP tape files can be
mounted directly in RSX, meaning you can play with the them as tapes, as
far as RSX is concerned.

So, as soon as you mange to access any tape from within the RSX
environment, just copy the tape to a virtual tape inside RSX, and then
you don't need to go out any more, and you are independent of actual
hardware.

However, the task without RES at the end also use supervisor mode libraries, but that one only uses libraries that exist on all systems, so it should be usable by everyone.
