[HECnet] VMS on AlphaServer 5000

I have a 2000 Yamaha R1 with a dodgy exhup valve, but being 30 years old
we'll forgive it. I'm current sat with a Suzuki jacket on though - like the
combination of blue and fluorescent yellow. That's my excuse! Was looking
at a ZX1400 but I've got neck skeletal issues at the moment so a
hypersports bike probably isn't so sensible ;)

Bringing it back on topic, I had an AlphaServer 1000A which is of a
similar era and I will say it was quite a fickle beast when it came to
upgrades such as memory, scsi, graphics, networking etc. I spent many an
hour in my basement pulling cards and memory. It got tedious.

I'd suggest if there is no mention on the internet (especially thinking
here about comp.os.vms or comp.sys.dec then you are probably on a hiding to
nothing.
