[HECnet] RSTS/E started emitting "?EVTLOG (BLDNIC) -- %Integer error" messages

Version 2 is far more robust if you can find a copy. My gateway is still down … it may be some time before it returns. It takes the raw nodenames.dat file , parses it and creates a “.com” procedure. All the logic is in netupdatev2.com. The resulting procedure is dumb but gets the job done. It can be submitted to batch. It does define and set.

I’ll see what I can come up with for RSTS/E this weekend based on similar logic and post it. When PLUTO:: or ARK:: (yes Paul, ARK::) return to the network it will be in the default DECnet account on those systems as well as on node SGC::.

FYI: Like DEC, ARK:: is an 11/70 with 2 of “everything” except running under SimH. It also has most sources (not DECnet unfortunately though… SIGH…)

Second, if the database is being run against a cluster then it additionally ignores all of the nodes in that area. This way all of the Satellite information is not altered thus rendering satellite boot non functional.
