Invitation to join me on a visit to Bhutan

Dear friends,
	In conjunction with the Center for Climate Protection I will be leading another tour to Bhutan in October of 2017. As you may know, Bhutan is the world’s only carbon-negative country. Until very recently, this tiny Himalayan kingdom has been closed to the outside world and as it negotiates the transition from a feudal society and hereditary monarchy to a 21st century democracy, it has adopted a unique and revolutionary development paradigm known as Gross National Happiness.
	Our small group will travel as a learning community, sharing our observations and experiences each evening as we visit this inspiring culture in transition. To better understand the relationship between Gross National Happiness and Bhutan’s deep traditions of Vajrayana Buddhism we will meet with religious leaders and government officials. We will also visit traditional artisans and participate on one of the country’s most important religious ceremonies.
