And All At Once

And all at once
I am
As if by moles
Snatched underground.
Dark
Damp
Cool
No room to dance
To think.
Familiar
Yet forgotten.
Buried without a tomb
Bound in stillness.
Thoughts confined
And time falls away
The gift of stillness,
Its wisdom unknowable
Without hindsight
I surrender my limbs
My heart
My vision
And trust in the turning
Turning
Turning
As we move back toward the light
