Kay doesn’t think of herself as a poet, but as a lover of the deep, transformative power of words. Sometimes words flow from the deep source shaped like poetry and sometimes like prose. In her memoir writing, the two interweave. She has an unbound collection of poetry and a memoir in progress, as well as a series of essays on favorite existential contemplations.

Hidden in plain sight
you shine
as the numinous light
in all things

Like a message
in a bottle
You
wash ashore
at my feet

 passed over

something
holy
within the vessel
of my being
