Chorus

Stopped in my tracks
I listen to the chorus of birds
They sing to each other
Call and response

With the added instrumentation
Of wind through the branches
A swoosh to the songs
Percussion and whistle

In harmonies of white and yellow
Comes the visual chorus
The imagined sounds of lace
And variegated leaves
			Swooosh, Swooosh!
The pine tree listens with me
And the prayer flags
Draped across the bridge
A bit tattered from 
Their daily chants
In different languages

Adding to the reminder
That we must sing louder
			All of us!
In Nature’s chorus
In order to bring peace
