Hi Folks,
I'm looking for publications on the impacts and best practices for mowing,
tilling, fire and invasive plant management in non-agricultural protected
areas in relation to native been conservation. I'm less interested in pubs
about 'how to create bee nesting habitat' and more interested in pubs that
describe impacts and provide recommendations for conserving existing
natural nesting habitat and other resources utilized by native bees. I'm
already familiar with the Xerces Society's many excellent publications on
effective management for pollinator conservation. But if any of you can
point me in the direction of any other good references on this subject I'd
appreciate it. I'm also interested in any papers that about the impacts
(or lack thereof) of insect collecting activities on native bee
populations.
Feel free to reply to me off-list (esellers at usgs.gov
Thanks, Liz
