Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a new training opportunity for graduate students
and postdocs. This is a practical and theoretical course in honey bee RNA
interference technology, to be held at Penn StateUniversity and the
University of Life Sciences Norway. The course is sponsored by the
Research Council of Norway. This support covers registration fees, materials
and supplies, local accommodations, lunch/coffee breaks, and provides all
attendants with stipends to put toward their travel costs.
The course has two modules: The first will be held at Penn State this fall,
August 1-6th, together with an international symposium on functional genomic
tools in honey bees (August 6-7th). The second module is scheduled to mid
May next year, and will be held at the University of Life Sciences (dates
TBA). Instructors are Drs. Gérard Leboulle, Free University of Berlin; Ying
Wang, Arizona State University; and Kate Ihle, Smithsonian Tropical Research
Institute, in addition to the course organizers.
The RNAi course information and registration page is now live at:
