Something  light-hearted and positive, and excellent media exposure for the 
beekeeping  community without any cost.  
Fairmont Hotels in  Vancouver (at YVR and downtown) have had colonies on 
their rooftops for a  number of years. This resulted in an apparent friendly 
competition of who  produces most honey! 
Now, the Empress in  Victoria has done the same and will ‘host’ the 
colonies for the next few  months.
