[Pollinator] Bee Friendly Farming now part of S.H.A.R.E.

We are very pleased to announce the new BFF-S.H.A.R.E. partnership! We're
growing together and helping the bees, one garden at a time!

 

 

Exciting News for PfSP and BFF!

This past April PfSP and Pollinator Partnership (P2), a strong tri-national
advocate force for honey bees and all pollinators, created and signed a
memorandum of understanding. This MOU will bring together the efforts of
Pollinator Partnership's S.H.A.R.E (Simply Have Areas Reserved for the
Environment) and PfSP's BFF program to increase awareness to manage space
which allows for wildlife and pollinators' habitat needs. Under the MOU, the
acreage identified as BFF certified will also now be attributed towards the
1,000,000 acre goal of the S.H.A.R.E. initiative.  This is a great step
forward for our BFF program as those who enroll in the S.H.A.R.E. program
will also now be made aware of the option of further recognition through
certification as a Bee Friendly Farm or Garden.

We'll be reaching out to currently certified BFF's who might not have
provided habitat size and % available for pollinator forage to ensure that
we get the best data possible to share with P2.
