·         My Name is Nicholas Olsen,  I'm raising funds to create an online
school for beekeepers. I'm currently a beekeeping instructor teaching
Beginning to advanced Beekeeping Classes. I start my class by asking how
many have watched videos online but are still confused, 100% of hands are
raised. The reality of the beginning beekeeper is that they have to spend
as much as $150.00 for a Class, purchase equipment for another $500.00 and
then buy Bees for $125.00 totaling  $725.00 and most are still confused and
have more questions. I aim to change all of that with a simplified, fun and
educational experience that they will enjoy and go on to be beekeepers for
years to come.

·              Over the past couple of years I have seen the cost of
beekeeping classes sky rocket, some charging $150.00 to as much as $650.00
for classes. Approximatley 30% of my students have taken a class before and
are still confused and have a ton of questions. Our online classes will
walk the students through a easy interactive course which they will always
be able to reference to. Via web or smart phone while in the field.

With your contribution, We will be able to teach everyone the art of
beekeeping at a minimal cost. Free
What We Need & What You Get

·         Our team will use the funds to create an interactive Educational
portal. We estimate it will take one year to complete. The project will
involve development of the app, the website, research, collaboration with
beekeeping experts from around the world, filming,  and purchase of
educational beekeeping equipment. We will take newbees on a journey through
the seasons of beekeeping and give experienced beekeepers a portal to
explore new solutions.

Making It Affordable For Everyone

Our team has had hours of debate on what will we charge. We want to make it
affordable to everyone, but it also needs to be self sustainable. We are
commited to keeping the costs down and will conduct a poll at a later
date. But I will throw this out, we are thinking around $19.99 for
individuals, Free for students grade 5 -  grade 12, and a discount for
associations.

*Bees need our help*

It's true the bees need our help, but the reality is we need more
beekeepers:

·         A world without bees is a world without fruits and vegetables.

·         with over 250 successful beekeeping students Nicholas's main goal
is to teach beekeepers excellent beekeeping practices.
