Registration is open for the 2019 Authentic Plant Pollinator Landscape
Research for Educators (APPL-RED) Workshop!   It will be held from June
24-28, 2019, on the University Park campus.  Flyer attached, and online

Please forward this to any teachers who might be interested!  The workshop
is a unique teacher professional development experience for middle and high
school teachers, and is collaborative effort of the PSU Center for Science
and the Schools and Center for Pollinator Research.  It is supported by
funding from the USDA-PD-STEP program.

Teachers will have the opportunity to participate and collaborate with
leading researchers in the area of pollinator and plant-pollinator
landscape research, CSATS science educators, and educators from across
Pennsylvania. You will spend a week at Penn State learning about ongoing
cutting-edge plant-pollinator research at the Penn State Center for
Pollinator Research (CPR) and various research  techniques used in this
interdisciplinary field.  With support from the APPL-RED team, you will
develop a research project to implement with your students in the academic
year.  Preference will be given for collaborative teams of teachers from
the same school or district.
