The Xerces Society's Pesticide Program is hosting two webinars on
Pesticides and Pollinators, starting during Earth Week. Webinar
descriptions and links to register are below -- registration is required to
join. Each webinar is geared to the public, and will include time for Q&A.
Please plan to join us, and forward this on to others who may be interested.

Thursday, April 23, 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific
Join Sharon Selvaggio, Pesticide Program Specialist with the Xerces
Society, for this webinar on pesticides and pollinators. Pesticides are
widely used in many landscapes, but can cause harm to pollinators and other
invertebrates. This webinar will include foundational information on
pesticides and how they impact ecosystems. Learn how to understand and
assess the risks associated with pesticide use, as well as how our
regulatory systems address risk.
*Pesticides & Pollinators: Threats and Solutions

Thursday, April 30, 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific
Join Emily May, Pollinator Conservation Specialist in the Pesticide Program
at Xerces, for a webinar on the risks of insecticides, fungicides, and
herbicides to pollinators, and strategies for building healthy landscapes
for pollinators. Yards and gardens often receive more pesticides per acre
than agricultural areas. What risks do pesticides pose to pollinators, and
how can we address those risks in our backyards and communities?
Please contact Sarah Hoyle, sarah.hoyle at xerces.org, with any registration
questions.
