 event! National Pollinator Week, June 22nd to June 28th, is a chance to
spread the word about pollinators and the steps we can take to protect them
– including the beloved monarch butterfly. During Pollinator Week, commit
to a challenge to raise both funds and awareness for monarch conservation
by participating in Miles for Monarchs.

We want you to spend time outside during Pollinator Week moving for monarchs

As you move through your world, look around you! Where is there existing
monarch habitat? Where could there be more monarch habitat? Do you see
signs of monarchs? What about other pollinators?

You can participate in three different ways this week! Use the fitness
tracker of your choice to track your miles and report back after. After
registering, you will receive an email with tips about participating,
sharing your challenge on social media, and more. We want to see your
photos and hear about your progress throughout the week!


   - *A Day in the Life* – A monarch butterfly can travel 25 miles in a
   single day – and sometimes more – during its annual migration. Can you
   travel that far during the course of Pollinator Week? Jump on your bike,
   hike your favorite trails, walk through your neighborhood.
   - *Fast Flight* – Looking for a shorter commitment than 25 miles?
   Butterflies have been known to fly at a speed of five miles per hour.
   Travel five miles during the week! Walk a mile each day, get outside for a
   few days, or move five miles in one day. How long does it take you?
   - *Garden Meander* – Bonus Challenge! Spend time outside doing your
   favorite activities and observing monarch habitats. Encourage your family
   to join you and help you spot habitat. Complete 1 mile or complete 50
   miles! Add this as a bonus to your Day in the Life or Fast Flight, or
   select this to create your own challenge.
