Please check out Oregon State University’s new 41 page guide to landscaping for pollinators. It was developed using Michigan State University’s excellent guide as a starting point (drawing on their emphasis on pest management on common pest-prone plants), but includes four landscape designs for Washington and Oregon and guide on superior substitutes for common trees and shrubs currently used. We thank Dave Smitly and MSU for allowing us to draw on their publication and encourage other state’s to reach out to Dave to develop their own guides.

Also, we will be launching National Pollinator Week on Monday with the authors to answer questions about gardening for pollinators in the PNW region.
