I just wanted to let you know about a new study by the University of
Nevada-Reno, the Xerces Society, and the University of Tennessee -Knoxville
that has just been published:

Publication in Biological Conservation (open access):
Milkweed plants bought at nurseries may expose monarch caterpillars to
