     Greetings fellow phytophiles,     
        Autumn  is here and bountiful harvests of fruit and seed. All
of the dry  weather propagation we were not able to complete must now
wait until  next year. While the days are still warm and languorous,
we know our  first rains and frost are typically only a few weeks
away. We are  preparing the nursery for the seasonal change, returning
plants to the  safety of the greenhouse, encouraging succulents
towards dormancy for  their dry winter slumber. We'll soon endeavor to
sow a medley of things that we never got to last winter -- various
tree, shrub and bulb seeds  that need the months of cold and wet to
germinate in the spring...     
                 This Monday, September 30th, is the last day of our
Equinox Sale  on Specimen Plants and select Books. The most extensive
sale of the  year, with significant discounts on dozens of plants --
such as a  diversity of popular heirloom Sand Pedro and other rare
_Trichocereus_ cuttings; new hybrid seedlings including bulk savings
on beauties like the chunky _Trichocereus _'Juul's Giant' X_ T.
huanucoensis_ & _T. pachanoi_ X _T. pasacana, _or the unique_ T.
tulhuayacensis _X _T. peruvianus/_'Juul's Giant'  f._ monstrosus_;

blossoms & sweet fruit -- _Cavendishia, Ceratostema, Disterigma,
Satyria_, the caudiciform _Macleania_ & Asian _Agapetes_... and so
many more fantastic plants to diversify your yard and garden!All
