[Santa Cruz Celtic Slow Sessions] Idea Re: Movember sessions

Hi Louisa! Great plan. I’ll bet the whole Sloe Session community would love to be included!
I hope to be able to return to sessions soon. Sunday afternoons have been difficult for me. Also I’ve moved out to Corralitos and travel and gas prices are a new consideration for me.
Considering my recent absences, I hesitate to make this request, but I remember, pre Covid, that when we changed our clocks in the fall we also changed our Slow Session time to 2-4. Could we consider that change again?
Thanks and hope to see y’all soon. 🎶🪕🎻🪗

It’s about providing an opportunity to showcase arrangements we’ve been refining in a supportive community. These pieces could be solos or fluid ensembles. It may bleed into other genres besides Celtic. But it would be acoustic. These need not be concert ready, but pieces we’ve devoted time to play well. …An opportunity to become comfortable playing in front of supportive others, to develop musicianship, to collaborate, to sharpen talent (I know that if I’m playing in front of other I’m going to practice more intentionally). For some, it might be a stepping stone for real performance.

I am yearning to play some of my fingerstyle tunes out in the world and to work on arrangements with others (fingerstyle and accompaniment). It occurred to me that others might be interested in something like this.
