[atariparty] Atari Party 2015, less than two months away

Hi everyone.  Apologies if some of you get this twice (once to the
volunteer list, once directly).  I haven't checked who out here is
actually subscribed to the list, and would prefer some of you get 2
copies of an email, rather than anyone getting 0 copies. :)

It looks like, thanks to everyone who's bringing extra TVs,
that we should be okay in the systems-to-displays dept.  Thanks, all!


This year's schedule:
---------------------
This year's event will be Saturday, May 2nd.  It'll be open to the public
from 12pm to 5pm.  We'll havce access to the room during the library's
open hours, from 10am to 5:30pm.  So if possible, please get to the library
by 10am to begin setting up!

The only special event happening this year is a free prize give-away,
which I've scheduled for 4pm.


Food!
-----
I've paid the fee to have food at the library, so you can bring a snack.
Of course, please be careful not to spill, and keep food away from people's
games & computers!  There's a kitchen in the meeting room with a fridge
and other gear.

I'm thinking it'd be nice to have an actual lunch available for volunteers,
perhaps pizza.  So far, I have no cash donations for this year's event,
but if any come in, that'll be what I use it for.  In the meantime, maybe
we can all pitch in to have something delivered...?

I was also thinking it'd be fun to have a post-event dinner after the show.
Would people be up for that?

Crash space

Last I heard, both Sal and Conrad, both of whom come from out of state,
were still looking for crash space Fri, the night before the event
(maybe also the night of the event, Saturday?).  If you have any leads,
let me know and I'll pass them along.


Finally, thanks very much for offering to help me host another Atari Party!
This year's event is special, since it's my 40th birthday this May...
Holding an Atari Party will help distract me from that fact-- err, I mean,
celebrate growing up during a golden age of home computers & video games.
Yeah, that's the ticket! <_<
