Atari Party is less than 5 weeks away! (12pm-5pm on Sat. July 30th)

So far, 10 others are joining me in bringing video game and computer
systems from their personal collections, for you all to enjoy!

Thanks to them, you're likely to see:

 * a wide variety of Ataris:
   2600 (VCS), 5200 (SuperSystem), 7800 (ProSystem), Lynx (handheld),
   Jaguar ("Do the math!"), 8-bit and 16-bit computers, and even
   an Atari Portfolio handheld computer, a Video Music system,
   and a "Centipede" arcade cabinet!

 * a number of non-Ataris will be there, mostly running Atari games
   (published by Atarisoft, Tengen, Infogrames, etc.):
   Apple II, Nintendo NES and GameBoy Advance, Sega Genesis,
   Sony PlayStation and PS2, and modern Windows PC (running "Gauntlet")

When you arrive at the show, you'll receive free raffle tickets to
take part in the free prize give-away. You'll have the chance to win
some amazing prizes:

 * Raspberry Pi 2 Model B
 * Nintendo Wii + games (gently used)
 * Edladdin "Super78" arcade controller (works with Ataris & friends,
   but also modern PCs & Macs, via a number of adapters available)
 * Books!
   * "Terrible Nerd" by Kevin Savetz (of ANTIC, the Atari 8-bit Podcast)
   * "Game Art - Art from 40 Video Games and Interviews with Their Creators"
   * "Python for Kids - A Playful Introduction to Programming"
   * "The Manga Guide to the Universe"
   * "Arduino Project Handbook - 25 Practical Projects to Get You Started"
   * "Learn to Program with Minecraft - Transform Your World with the
     Power of Python"
 * ANTIC podcast interview recordings, on USB sticks; among the interviewees:
   * Nolan Bushnell, co-founder of Atari
   * Al Alcorn, Atari's first employee & designer of "Pong"
   * Chris Crawford, game designer & founder of the Game Developers Conference
   * ...and a dozen more!
 * T-shirts & tote-bags!
   * Some shirts & tote-bags from No Starch Press (publisher of most of the
     books being given away)
   * A "Classic Gaming Quarterly" shirt

Plus, if you happen to own an Atari 8-bit computer, you might want a chance
to win:

 * "Blaster" game cartridge
 * "MacRorie's R-Time 8 Replacement" realtime clock cartridge

Finally, we've also got (or are getting) some books donated to the
Yolo County Public Library!

Thanks to all of the volunteers & sponsors so far, for their time, energy,
and donations! Andy O'Brien, Bill & John Demian, Chris Alaimo, Dan DeVriend,
