Hi Ray,

You didn’t include everything you did to get this far, so I ask the following:

1) How did you get the Hobbyist-USE-ONLY-VA.TXT file on to the host system from whatever email you may have received?

2) Were you able to edit the Hobbyist-USE-ONLY-VA.TXT file on the host system as a normal file before you attached it with the “ATTACH TQ -F ANSI-VMS Hobbyist-USE-ONLY-VA.TXT” command?

3) What is produced under VMS if you enter:

$ DIR MUA0:/FULL

-          Mark

I got everything hooked up but this is what it does when I run the script:

$ @mua0:Hobbyist-USE-ONLY-VA.TXT
%DCL-E-INVIFNEST, invalid IF-THEN-ELSE nesting structure or data inconsistency
%DCL-E-INVIFNEST, invalid IF-THEN-ELSE nesting structure or data inconsistency
These PAKs are for VAX / Alpha Servers only.

The cutting and pasting method is working with this file though.

Thanks

Ray

Humm. I saw something like this. Do you need the exact word? Sure no
problem. But it was something like this, "scanned as simh file (or
format). contains 0 bytes of tape data 0 records 0 tapemarks. " And no
tape available.

Does that help? I can dig it right up, If I can remember how to do it,
lol. And I will.

Bill
