[Pollinator] 12th AAA Conference in Turkey in 2014

Dear Colleagues and Friends

I would like to invite you to the 12th Asian Apicultural Association (AAA) Conference in Antalya, Turkey during 24-27  April, 2014. The main topics of the conference are:

Bee Biology,
Bee genetics and breeding
Bee pathology
Asian bees and beekeeping
Beekeeping for rural development
Beekeeping equipment, techniques and economy
Bumblebee biology, breeding and management
Pollination
Bee products and apitherapy
Climate change and conservation of bees
Application of scientific research into beekeeping

There are over 6 million honey bee colonies and over 60,000 licensed, registered beekeepers in Turkey. There is a great biodiversity and 48 species of bumblebees in the country. Several bumblebee breeding companies are rearing thousands of colonies every year and they are used in the  computer controlled greenhouses in Antalya where the conference will be held.There will be technical tours to the greenhouses and possibly to the bumblebee breeding companies
